sellEbit is E-Commerce software for small businesses that use "Buy
buttons" or shopping carts provided by payment
gateways like PayPal or Google checkout to sell from a web site.
When a
customer provides
credit card details and completes a secure purchase, the
gateway sends an Email to both the customer and the merchant. sellEbit
processes these Emails, extracts the contents, and puts the details
into a database on your computer.
When an Email arrives for a sale, sellEbit mails an acknowledgement and
receipt to the customer and the sale is placed in a list which the
merchant uses
to track the order as it is filled. Software licences and digital data
are immediately distributed.
The Email details stored in the database can be used to:
- Display reports of income and transactions (sales, donations and
purchases)
- Display histograms of transactions, products and stock levels
- Display directed graphs of relations between transactions, items,
products and customers.
- Send bulk mail to customers.
sellEbit can be used by merchants to handle sales, charities to record
donations or customers to record purchases. Digital data can be
distributed and software licences generated and sent.

The sellEbit system is developed by the Clever Company which has an
office
in Queanbeyan,
Australia.
sellEbit should run on most computers running Microsoft Windows XP or
Vista.
This
is a free Beta test version
of the sellEbit software. We have released it in the hope that you will
help us find any problems. You may download the
software and try it

problem reports to us at support@sellebit.com. We expect to continually release new versions
during the test phase, so watch this site.
After downloading, read the
manual file sellEbit.pdf in the
sellEbit folder. This will
tell you:
- how to try out the
system using some sample Emails
- how to configure the system for
your own use.
- and how to load your old mail from
outlook into the database
sellEbit will not be free, but you will be able to download the
software and try it
out before you have to purchase a licence.
Prices have not been decided, but could be:
- A$99 (about US$80) for an unlimited licence
- A$55 for sellEbit limited to 50,000 Emails
- A$33 for sellEbit limited to 10,000 Emails
- A$22 for sellEbit limited to 1000 Emails

scheduled periodically and updates will be released as necessary to fix
any serious problems. We expect to continually release files to support
